WATERFRONT—Station 4 has announced that it'll open its doors — which are right by the Waterfront Metro station — to the public on Sunday at 5 p.m. The "New American bistro-style restaurant" comes from the same owners behind Tunnicliff's Tavern, Ulah Bistro, Bullfeathers and Stoneys. It is also already accepting reservations at 202-488-0987. [Twitter]
DUPONT CIRCLE—Jamie Leeds tweeted some updates yesterday regarding the expansion of her Dupont Circle seafood staple Hank's Oyster Bar. The completion has been pushed back until the end of July, but the new patio space is open, they're painting the walls of the lounge and they've finally knocked a hole in the wall to connect the two buildings. EVENT PLANNING—If you feel like there's never enough skyr in your life, this is your week. Five local restaurants have made way in their kitchens for guest chefs this week in celebration of Nordic Food Days. Marcel's, Vidalia, Birch & Barley, DC Coast and Masa 14 all debuted special menus (linked above) last night created by chefs from Finland, Iceland, Denmark, Norway and Sweden, respectively. The visiting chefs will also participate in a "Nordic Pavilion" at this weekend's Rammy gala. [EaterWire]
BAGELWIRE—New York's H&H Bagels has closed abruptly, but what does that mean for DC? The City Paper reports that DC-area bagel vendors are still receiving their shipments as scheduled. Phew. [WCP]
