Columbia Heights has been down a bar since Jamie Leeds closed CommonWealth back in February, but today the building's new owner tells Eater that the space is set to reopen soon under the name Acre 121. Terry Cullen — who also runs the next-door-neighbor Lou's City Bar — says that the restaurant aims to create a "very comfy feel" with wood flooring and a marble bar. The menu from chef Michael Soper (who you might know from his days cooking at Alexandria's Union Street Public House) features low-country cuisine and barbecue. Cullen says they're shooting to open up on June 30.
