The Forest City development group announced today that it's bringing a grand total of seven new restaurants plus a Harris Teeter to The Yards near Nationals Park. Two of the new concepts come from the Neighborhood Restaurant Group, including a third location for Buzz Bakery (home of newly minted Rammy Award winner Tiffany MacIsaac) and — wait for it — a craft brewery from these same people who own and operate ChurchKey, Birch & Barley, Rustico and other beer-friendly restaurants. These are slated to open in late 2012, per a press release.
Other properties coming to the soon-to-be-rapidly expanding area include a Potbelly, Austin Grill Express, BRB—Be Right Burger, Huey's 24/7 Diner and a new restaurant from the people behind Teak Wood and Regent Thai called Kruba Thai and Sushi. These will all be opening at different points in 2012, while the anchoring Harris Teeter is not expected until 2013.
