DC-3 Adds Beer To Mix; Matchbox Rockville Debuts Brunch

CAPITOL HILL—Just in time for the weekend, DC-3 announced today that it has added beer to its menu that practically begs for suds being that it's pretty much just hot dogs. Right now, they've only got PBR tall boys and McSorley's Irish Black Lager, but expect more varieties in the future. [EaterWire]

MENUWATCHMatchbox's Rockville location debuts its weekend brunch service tomorrow at 10 a.m. This is going to be a Bloody Mary-centric brunch with six types of the stuff on the drinks menu plus a burger whose toppings include "Bloody Mary mayo." Brunch will be served here on Saturdays and Sundays until 3 p.m. [EaterWire]

ROCKVILLE—The Washington Business Journal reports that both Tippy's Taco House and the Marble Slab Creamery have signed leases in Rockville Town Square. They plan to open in June and July, respectively. [WBJ]

EVENT PLANNING—Nothing beats a pig roast on a Sunday, and this weekend Sonoma Restaurant and Wine Bar has got its Capitol Hill neighbors covered. Chef Michael Bonk, who has partnered with Brent Elementary through Michelle Obama's Chefs Move to Schools program, is hosting a roast for the community on the school's playground on Sunday at 1 p.m. Adult admission is $35 (including booze) while kids eat for $10.
