Always wanted to smell like "an intoxicating bouquet of spices, smoke, meat, and sweet summer sweat?" Today — just in time for Father's Day! — the barbecue masters behind Pork Barrel BBQ have released a barbecue-scented cologne and perfume, Que.
Pork Barrel co-owner Heath Hall confirms the barbecue-scented fragrances are 100-percent real, explaining that he and business partner Brett Thompson wanted to add something unique and interesting to their local sauce empire. "When you go to a barbecue probably at least a dozen times you hear someone when they arrive go, 'Ooh, that smells really good.' The wood and the meat and everything," Hall says. Hard to argue with that logic. So, behold: Que, the fragrance.
Right now, Que is only available online as a limited first-run product, but Hall says he hasn't ruled out producing the perfume and cologne until the end of time: "If Calvin Klein or Ralph Lauren want to order a couple million bottles and put them in Macy's or Nordstrom's, we're happy to accommodate that." Below, a set of ads for Que that feature a sexily stripping pig (that's Hall in the pig suit, by the way), a spoof on Elizabeth Taylor's White Diamonds and the tale of a disastrous blind date saved by the scent of Que.
