CLARENDON—EatBar is hosting its third-annual Beach Blanket Bash this Saturday from 12 to 3 p.m., which basically involves eating and drinking for three hours to the sound of beachy music while wearing a grass skirt. Tickets are $25 and include tastings of 25 summer-friendly wines. PENN QUARTER—Also on Saturday, Rosa Mexicano is hosting a cooking demo as part of its monthlong Healthy & Organic Mexican festival — which includes special menu items like a green gazpacho with organic shrimp. The demo starts at 10 a.m. and will set you back $30. For reservations, call 202.783.5522. [EaterWire]

BOOZE NEWS—The typical martini glass ranges somewhere from 4 to 12 ounces, but why stop there? Dirty Martini in Cleveland Park is offering 48-ounce cocktails now. They weigh three pounds and will cost you $79.99. [DCist]
