Rustico Swaps Pizza For Mussels; DC's Grey Market Returns

BALLSTON—Well, the bad news is that the pizza oven is broken at Rustico's Ballston location. The good news is that the restaurant has decided to make the best of it by turning this weekend into a Bastille Day party instead. Today through Sunday, they've added three new types of mussels — provencal, pistou and wild mushroom — to the menu for $12, including fries and garlic aioli. Beer director Greg Engert has also come up with some "Belgianish" beers to accompany for $6. Alexandria, please note that this is only for the Arlington location. You will continue with your regularly scheduled pizza programming. [EaterWire]

MOUNT VERNON SQUARE—The DC Grey Market is back this Sunday with 25 vendors selling their unlicensed but still good wares. This time they're going to be at the Liberty North Community Market between 1 and 5 p.m. [EaterWire]

EXPANSIONWIRE—The Washington Business Journal talks to a Roti real estate rep about the fast-casual Mediterranean concept's booming expansion. They're heading to Rosslyn and are eyeing both Union Station and Bethesda. [WBJ]

CHEF QUIZZES—The Washington Post has put together a quiz asking you to pair 10 local chefs — from Michel Richard to Nora Pouillon — with little fun facts about them. So who holds regular after-hours karaoke parties with staff? And can that be open to the public? Anyway, send them your picks and they'll announce a winner next week. [WaPo]
