1) Hyattsville: Busboys and Poets opens its fourth location today out in Hyattsville, the first outpost in Maryland. This is also the local restaurant-and-bookstore chain's biggest location, with a larger patio and larger private event space in their Howard Zinn room. The menu will be the same as at the U Street, Shirlington and Mount Vernon Triangle locations, says a rep, but the feel of the restaurant will be dictated by its neighborhood. Status: Soft opening at 4 p.m. 5331 Baltimore Ave; website
2) Rockville: After a slight glitch on Friday, Tippy's Taco House is now officially open in Rockville. The casual Tex-Mex eatery — unaffiliated with those of the same name in Northern Virginia — is a project from the folks behind Cava. The menu posted to Facebook reveals your usual Tex-Mex suspects like tacos, burritos, quesadillas, enchiladas and chile rellenos. Status: Certified open. 100 Gibbs St; website
3) Reston: Burger Days notices that Be Right Burger opened in Reston yesterday. The burger blog further noted in an earlier report that the ordering system here is all kinds of high-tech with ordering via touchscreen monitors or via the old-fashioned high-tech internet. Be Right Burger also has its menu posted to Facebook, revealing a build-your-own concept with options like duck egg, sriracha mayo, wasabi mayo and chow chow. There are also a couple of signature burgers like the Hangover or the Samurai. Status: Certified open. 1820 Discovery St; website
