EVENT PLANNING—Think Local First DC kicks off its Eat Local First Week at noon on Sunday with a pig roast at the aptly named Local 16. They'll be serving Berkshire pork from Berryville's High View Farm and summer vegetables from another Virginia farm. Tickets are $15 and include food and two drinks. [EaterWire]

FOOD TV—Columbia Heights vegan bakery Sticky Fingers will once again compete on the Food Network's Cupcake Wars. You may recall that the bakery won the show's season finale back in March and will now face off against the show's other previous winners to win a chance to cater the Tony Awards' VIP party. The episode airs July 12 at 8 p.m. [Twitter]

LOGAN CIRCLE—Borderstan has some details on the inevitable liquor license protest for the Tortilla Coast location planned for 15th and P streets. Unsurprisingly, the Advisory Neighborhood Commission voted to protest the application that it'll withdraw if the restaurant signs a voluntary agreement restricting the outdoor seating hours.
