THE INTERWEBS—According to our friends over at Curbed DC, you can get all the railroad memorabilia your heart desires this week through the online auction of belongings from Garrett's Restaurant and Railroad Tavern. You may recall that the Georgetown tavern closed abruptly in May after 32 years in business. Click through here for more information on the auction. [-CDC-]

BOOZE NEWS—In local beer news, the City Paper reports that Chocolate City Beer is set to launch next week. Their launch party is going to be on August 18 at RFD with $4 pints all night starting at 9 p.m. [WCP]

EVENT PLANNING—The Feast hears that Baconfest Chicago is considering going national with plans for a potential Baconfest USA in DC. They've already come through for a tour, talking with local chefs and potential partners, and have a Twitter handle for you to follow and beg them to follow through. [The Feast]
