Drunk Grocery Shopping Anyone?

safeway.jpgSocial Safeway, so dubbed, according to a publicist because "in the old days (50's or so) when people would get dressed up to go to the grocery store the Georgetown Safeway was the place to see and been seen," is trying to live up to its name with a series of wine and cheese tastings.

Mio's Juan Jimenez will offer tastes of white and red sangria featuring Spanish and Chilean wines from 6 p.m to 8 p.m. tonight. A good dose of foreign cheeses will also be available. Combining chores and happy hour is just another item to add to your over-achieving list of the day.
