Jamie Leeds has been working on a new bar and lounge area for months over at the Dupont Circle Hank's Oyster Bar location, and today it is all ready to be unveiled. The new space — located in the brownstone just adjacent to the original Hank's — doubles the seafood restaurant's available seating (including outdoor seating) and is airy and soft in tone with blond wood finishing and a 14-seat marble bar. And with a new space comes new, longer hours and an updated menu. Hank's will now be open until 2 a.m. Sunday-Thursday and 3 a.m. on weekends. The restaurant is also now offering Hayden's Reef oysters, snacks like bacon pecan brittle and soft pretzels with beer cheese sauce and an extended cocktail list.
