Welcome back to Shit People Steal, in which we ask restaurateurs what items in their restaurant have been (or are frequently) stolen.
This time on Shit People Steal, Ripple's general manager Danny Fisher ponders all the strange things that people feel compelled to steal, from spoons and steak knives to bathroom amenities. The lint rollers probably just get stuck to those thieves, right? Take it away, Danny:
"People love to take little things. It's funny and I wonder what they do with them. People have taken our demi-tasse spoons. We have little hour glass tea-timers for coffee and tea and go through a fair amount of those. Somehow they just seem to disappear. Another thing that disappears pretty quickly are our steak knives. Usually one day we look around and realize we're missing a lot of steak knives."We have lint rollers in the ladies room and those seem to be a real attraction for sticky fingers. I just bought one last week and I know there's not one in there right now. We go through at least one a month if not more."
