A Crab Feast On Capitol Hill; Fruit Bat Begins Brunch Service

CAPITOL HILL—If this Hurricane Irene stuff goes down as planned, maybe you'll want to just pretend you're at the beach this weekend. Sonoma is going to be hosting its first-ever crab feast on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. For $35, you'll get a bucket of crabs, two sides and a beer. Plus, you hipsters you, PBR will be just $3 all afternoon! Impending hurricanes and crab feasts go so well together? [EaterWire]

ATLAS DISTRICT—Frozen Tropics reports that Fruit Bat is going to start serving brunch on Sunday, starting with a "Cruzan rum cocktail giveaway." Click through for some details on the brunch menu, and please note that there will be flights of bubbly. [FT]

MT PLEASANT—The City Paper notices that old school Salvadoran spot Ercilia's has gotten a new coat of pretty burnt orange paint. Is this the restaurant's attempt to stay relevant in a changing neighborhood? Uh, no, it turns out the paint was just peeling. [WCP]
