Presumably there are a few "culinary enthusiasts" out there and this one is for you: The Food Network is going to be in DC on Monday casting about for contestants to appear on the 8th season of their show Food Network Star, which for better or for worse has spawned the likes of Guy Fieri. And they're looking for "people who are full of life, passionate about cooking, and knowledgeable about food," according to an email.
All you've gotta do is fill out an 11-page application — with killer questions like "If I were an ingredient, I would be..." — then update your resume and bring a couple of pictures along with you to the Westin City Center on Monday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. You can also submit a home video if you can't be bothered to get there in person.
Please note that Washingtonian Mary Beth Albright is currently in the final four of Food Network Star's seventh season — so maybe that bodes well for your shot of getting cast?
