DUPONT CIRCLE—This month is La Tomate's anniversary month in Dupont Circle and, in celebration of 24 years, the Italian bistro is offering patrons a choice of free wine or beer. The catch is that you must also order from the restaurant's new prosciutto bar. Then again, it's a prosciutto bar, so that's not necessarily a bad thing. [EaterWire]

MIDCITY—This weekend is the annual MidCity Dog Days, wherein shops and restaurants along 14th Street and in the U Street area offer discounts. Among this year's restaurant participants are Rice, DC Noodles, ACKC, Vinoteca, 1905 and Cork Market. Check out the full listings here. [EaterWire]

BALLSTON—Sunday marks the beginning of Rustico Ballston's new Italian family-style dinner series called The Family Table. They'll be doing this each week from now on from 5:30 to 8 p.m. for $20 per adult and $10 per child. The main dish this week will be rigatoni with sausage and white beans. [EaterWire]
