The Greek tragedy known as Shaw's Tavern continues to be quite the subject of debate, pulling in questions of philosophy and political theory. Responding to Megan McArdle's strongly pro-tavern article in The Atlantic, Greater Greater Washington says that you can't blame DC government for the tavern's problems. Meanwhile, the City Paper is so over it: "The only thing remarkable about Shaw's Tavern, in fact, appears to be how poorly they managed the process of starting a business." [GGW, WCP]
