JOSE ANDRES WIRE—Speaking of José Andrés, yes, that's him living it up at the State Department today, having just been named culinary ambassador to the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves. DUPONT CIRCLE—DCist got a look inside ShopHouse today with some nice pictures of the food, the menu and the walls lined with sriracha bottles. They've also got an opening date for the place, which is September 15. Get ready. [DCist]

DUPONT CIRCLE—Prince of Petworth gets some details on the bar named Irish Whiskey that is slated for 19th Street. It aims to open in October with lots of whiskey and Irish food, which makes sense. Interestingly, the space will be renovated in collaboration with Maggie O'Neill, who is responsible for the slick feel of Lincoln, Oya, Sei, Sax and the expanded Hank's Oyster Bar. [PoP]
