Et Voila's Mussels Burger; Ping Pong's Grand Opening Party

FARRAGUT SQUARE—Tomorrow evening, local chefs will compete in the annual Brainfood Grill-Off fundraiser at the Decatur House Museum. Participating chefs — Adam Sobel (Bourbon Steak), Kyle Bailey (Birch & Barley), Justin Bittner (Bar Pilar), Victor Albisu (BLT Steak), Scott Drewno (The Source), Kevin Villalovos (Cure) and Robert Gadsby (Ridgewell's Catering) — will pair up with grilling amateurs and graduates of the Brainfood program, which teaches youth about food and nutrition. PALISADES—Belgian restaurant Et Voila is launching a new burger menu for its lunch service tomorrow that includes riffs on the shrimp and lobster burgers usually associated with a certain French chef around these parts, but also throws in a burger made of mussels. [EaterWire]
