Ben's Chili Bowl joins other esteemed establishments like Hooter's this fall at FedEx Field. The Washington Post reports that the restaurant will have kiosks in both the club and the upper level: one will have fries and the other nachos, but both will serve Ben's signature half-smokes and chili dogs. Also, both will presumably have Ben's long lines even though Bill Cosby and Barack Obama have never been to those particular locations.
This is not totally new territory for the classic DC spot, as it already has a concession stand in Nationals Park. But this is all just part of the grand Ben's Chili Bowl expansion plans that have been in the works for awhile — and the Post updates that "they're hoping to open two corporate stores within the next 12 to 18 months, one in the District and the other in Northern Virginia."
