1) Atlas District: H Street Great Street reports that a restaurant called Po Boys Kitchen has applied for a liquor license on H Street, serving lunch dinner and "gourmet foods." The application also notes that they plan to have occasional reggae and jazz band performance, plus a summer garden. [PLYWOOD]
2) Atlas District: District Cuisine stopped in at Pho Bar & Grill during the H Street festival and snags a copy of the menu, which shows five combinations of pho, some banh mi sandwiches and other Vietnamese specialities. The restaurant plans to open this coming weekend. [POST-PLYWOOD]
3) Petworth: The owners of a bar named Chez Billy tell Prince of Petworth that they hope to open in the next "8-10 weeks." A reader also shares with PoP that the advisory neighborhood commission agreed to support a liquor license for the place. [PLYWOOD]
4) Columbia Heights: Last week, the new Columbia Heights Panera Bread was a pure construction zone. Now there is full signage out front, as you can see from the photo here. Still some work to do inside, though, but it's getting close. [PLYWOOD]
5) U Street: The Dunkin' Donuts at the corner of 14th and U streets is about to pop just about any day now, reports Prince of Petworth, with some photos of the pretty completed space to back up the claim. [POST-PLYWOOD]
6) Clarendon: Trader Joe's announced last week that it will open up in Clarendon in November, according to ARLnow, who also spies freezer cases already moved inside.
7) Crystal City: ARLnow hears that Seattle's Best Coffee is moving to Crystal City in November, joining two Starbucks, one Dunkin Donuts and a Caribou Coffee. [PRE-PLYWOOD]
8) Rosslyn: Perfect Pita is opening up a location in Rosslyn, according to ARLnow, and though the exact spot is unclear the best guess is in the old Tomo Sushi space. [PRE-PLYWOOD]
