Tom Sietsema stops in for a slice at the District of Pi for his First Bite column this week. While he found some good appetizers on the menu, the critic was not too impressed by the restaurant's signature pizza. Though a manager tells him that Chicagoans have paid District of Pi high compliments since opening day, Sietsema says "having eaten dozens of slices of deep-dish pizza in the Windy City over the years, I have to think the support group is suffering from a severe bout of homesickness."
