On September 30, the 1409 Playbill Cafe will shutter the Logan Circle location across from the Studio Theater that it has operated for 13 years now. The owners tell the Washington Post ArtsPost blog that their landlord had offered them a "very expensive" short-term lease that they rejected. The good news, though, is that there is a definite plan to relocate — the owners are scouting out locations near U Street or maybe the Arena Stage. [WaPo via PoP]
