College Park Bobby's Burger Palace Opening in October; Pasta Mia Applies For Late-Night Hours

COLLEGE PARK—It's not news that Bobby Flay is bringing a second outpost of Bobby's Burger Palace to College Park — the Washington Business Journal broke that one back in May — but the Post double-triple-checks it today and has some good news for University of Maryland students: the opening date is set for sometime in October. ADAMS MORGAN—The City Paper discovers that Pasta Mia has applied for late-night hours. If the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board agrees, the Adams Morgan restaurant will stay open until 12:30 a.m. on weekdays and 1 a.m. on weekends. [WCP]

BANANA MAN—Remember the Virginia high school student who was suspended for running around his school's football field in a banana costume and was subsequently interviewed by local news reporter Pat Collins in a grape suit? Yeah, the principal who ordered the suspension has resigned. [DCist]
