Chez Panisse's Alice Waters talks to The Washingtonian about the kinds of people you befriend at dinner parties, such as her upcoming Sunday Night Suppers charity dinners. Waters herself met Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor at cookbook author Joan Nathan's house last year: "She just dropped in on us, and it was the thrill, really, of my life.
