The Hazards of Deal Sites

florida-avenue-grill-150.jpgLet the Florida Avenue Grill serve as warning about what can happen when you offer promotions through deal sites: This past weekend was the last chance to use their LivingSocial deal, and it was a shitshow. A regular of 25 years filed a complaint on the restaurant's Facebook page: "At 6pm on a Saturday evening I find it odd that there were no salmon cakes, no BBQ short ribs, no liver & onions, no cabbage and most importantly, no cornbread. No cornbread!?!?" Florida Avenue Grill offered up apologies and chalked it up to that "thousands of people bought the promotion" and then cashed in at the last minute. [Facebook]
