Food Truck Regulations; Georgetown Candy Bar to Close

FOOD TRUCKS—There has been quite a mess on the Internet today about DC's food trucks and whether law enforcement is on the verge of commencing a big crackdown of sorts involving $50 fines and new regulations. Mayor Vince Gray jumped into it all, tweeting this afternoon that no new enforcement actions are planned," but that new regulations are moving forward. [WaPo]

LAUNCHES & RELEASESThe Washingtonian has an interview with Jill Richmond, who is launching a dining club in DC named the Coterie. Apparently membership will cost you $42 a month and "allows you to call up any of the Coterie’s partner restaurants—they include Fiola and Birch & Barley—three days in advance and receive a five-course, off-menu tasting dinner priced at $135 a person, including tax, gratuity, and at least two pairings." There will also be salon-style dinners open to the public. [The Washingtonian]
