The City Paper's Chris Shott uses tonight's (now-canceled) Alice B. Toklas dinner at the Artisphere as an excuse to make pot brownies, eat them and and write about it all on the Young & Hungry blog. Toklas wrote a cookbook in the 1950s that included a pretty famous recipe for pot brownies, which is as good a reason as any for Shott to buy some "locally sourced" pot, get high and write about it. Sure. Apparently his brownies tasted minty, sweet, fruity and spicy, but looked like shit. [WCP]
