José Andrés Is Keeping a Secret Food Truck in DC

Pay very close attention if you see a food truck by the name of Pepe's roaming around DC streets because it probably belongs to one José Andrés. In an interview with Eater National, reporting from the Cayman Cookout, Andrés talks about the food truck he's opening up in Miami and how it is currently parked right here in Washington for testing.

"Well I bought one and have been running tests in Washington. No one knows. I've used it, it's parked. I own it, it's fully equipped. Pepe's is the working name.

When asked whether the truck will be open in DC for real or whether it's just for testing, Andrés replies that it will happen this year: "It's coming, we have it, we're testing." In the interview, Andrés also talks about his restaurants in Vegas and the new spot he's opening in Puerto Rico.
