So, a chatter in Tom Sietsema's online chat this morning wrote in with a tale of two restaurant GMs who had "expressed relief that the Washingtonian dining guide was out because they now wouldn't have to entertain tables of their staff who expect gratis meals." In response, Sietsema defends his fellow critics, writing, "I have a hard time believing the grandfather of our city magazines accepts the freebies you suggest it does. I've never heard that about that publication or any of its current reviewers, ever." [WaPo]
