Perhaps the writing was on the wall when Asylum owner John Andrade announced this past summer that he was converting the bar's main level into barbecue bar Smoke & Barrel. At the time, the plan was to keep Asylum as it was in the basement level, but now Prince of Petworth reports that Andrade has decided to convert the whole thing into Smoke & Barrel. This officially ends Asylum's 20 years in Adams Morgan. [PoP]
