Society Fair Officially Opens to the Public Tomorrow

Well, folks, the time has come. This weekend marks the official opening of Society Fair, a specialty food market and wine bar from restaurateurs Cathal and Meshelle Armstrong. As with the rest of their growing empire — Restaurant Eve, The Majestic, Virtue Feed & Grain, Eamonn's and PX — Society Fair is an Old Town Alexandria haunt. Yes, it's a wine bar, but it's also a fully functioning market complete with a bakery, butcher shop, coffee bar, cheese station, and just a whole lot more.

Locals may have caught Society Fair in its soft-opening phase this week, but as of tomorrow both the market and the wine bar will be open to the public at large. Hours are still in flux (you know how it goes) but the market will open at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, while the wine bar is slated to open at 5:30 p.m. Society Fair will be closed on Monday.
