Meat-Free Week; District Taco Looking at More DC Spots

STARWATCH—Actress Drew Barrymore was in town this week for the premiere of her movie Big Miracle and chef Robert Wiedmaier was on hand making the salmon for the after-party. People magazine hears that Barrymore was too busy to sample the salmon so the party organizers made her a plate. A source tells the magazine: "She rubbed her hands and looked delighted." [People]

U STREET—Prince of Petworth reports that Tropicana Eatery on Florida Avenue has closed. The space has been cleared out, but it's unclear exactly what happened. [PoP]
