Michael Landrum is at it again. ARLnow has the scoop that the unpredictable empire-builder — who seems to be tinkering with all of his concepts these days — has opened up a bistro named Retro Ray's at the site of his Arlington flagship Ray's the Steaks. Why Retro? As ARLnow explains:
"The menu for Retro Ray’s looks very much like that of Ray’s the Steaks. In fact, it is the Ray’s the Steaks menu — from 2005. The offerings and the prices match that of the old 1725 Wilson Boulevard Ray’s the Steaks, circa 2005, we’re told."
So, kind of awesome. Anyway, Ray's the Steaks and Retro Ray's do share a kitchen, but this is a separate thing — it'll be walk-in only and will "serve higher-end liquors and cognacs" thanks to its liquor license. ARLnow has a great photo gallery of the new space, so do check it out.
