CHEVY CHASE—On Saturday, Rosa Mexicano opens a third DC-area outpost out at Chevy Chase Pavilion, helmed by executive chef Steven Lukis. The menu and decor are essentially the same as at the chain's other locations, with guacamole prepared tableside, enchiladas, tacos and the space all decked out in pink and purple. ALEXANDRIA—The Washingtonian reports that the revamped Evening Star Café launches its brunch menu this weekend with things like chicken 'n waffles and a breakfast sandwich made with an andouille patty, egg, and cheddar on a homemade biscuit. The brunch launches Sunday at 10 a.m. and then on February 4 the restaurant will begin serving brunch on Saturday as well, beginning at 11 a.m. [The Washingtonian]
