1) U Street: The time has come for all you denizens of the U Street Corridor and 14th Street — Taylor Gourmet is opening its fourth location on 14th Street at 11:00 this very morning with an extra special ribbon-cutting courtesy of the "mayor," according to the Philly-style sandwich shop's Twitter feed. They'll have all the same Philadelphia-named hoagies and salads available at the other locations and, as has been previously noted, this particular location will be open late-night and provide delivery to both Columbia Heights and Dupont Circle. 2) Capitol Hill: Lost in the cracks over the holiday weekend was Friday's grand opening of Boxcar Tavern, the fifth project from restaurateur Xavier Cervera. Executive chef Brian Klein is running the kitchen at this new gastropub whose menu includes things like country paté, confit chicken wings, wild boar stew and seafood lasagna. According to The Hill Is Home, the decor includes some pieces you might recognize from other Capitol Hill spots, including signage from the Hawk 'n' Dove (now owned by Cervera). 3) Columbia Heights: Prince of Petworth reports that Le Caprice has opened its doors this morning in Columbia Heights. The menu includes things like croissants, pain au chocolat, brioche, baguettes, eclairs and more. Status: Certified open. 3460 14th St NW; Facebook
4) Noma: A tipster writes in with the news that Zuppa Fresca has opened over the weekend in the space in the Loree Grand that was originally intended for Kitchen on K. The menu includes paninis, salads and soups such as shrimp bisque and an avocado-buttermilk with crab salad. They've also got breakfast dishes like quiche and french toast. 5) Bethesda: Finally, Puree Artisan Juice Bar has opened on Bethesda Row. Robert Dyer reports that "fresh, organic, vegan and raw foods and housemade beverages are the specialties" at Puree. Status: Certified open. 4903 Elm St, Bethesda; website
