COLUMBIA HEIGHTS—The Washington Post reports that the National Symphony Orchestra will be performing tonight at Acre 121 beginning at 7 p.m. This is part of their "NSO In Your Neighborhood" outreach program. [WaPo]

U STREET—Prince of Petworth brings the news that a new crepe place by the name of DC Scoop Cafe has opened on U Street. They have a takeout window, sweet and savory crepes and coffee. [PoP]

SHIRLINGTONCapitol City Brewing Company announces that it has recently launched Sunday brunch at its Shirlington location featuring classic brunch things like French toast, omelets, a breakfast burrito and, of course, all the standard brunch cocktails. For $15.95, you get a brunch entree and "free-flowing cocktails" that are not so free-flowing at all as they are limited to three per person. [EaterWire]

ARLINGTON—Poor Bob & Edith's Diner has a broken window and a broken door following a weekend scuffle inside the restaurant that resulted in two arrests. ARLnow has the police report, which describes that two men "became disorderly, broke the restaurant door, and threw a glass sugar container at a plate glass window, shattering it.” [ARLnow]
