Top 10 Power Lunch Spots; Addie's New Prix-Fixe Menu

LISTICLES—The listicle and pagination experts over at Forbes drop "Top 10 Restaurants Across The Country For A Power Lunch." Representing DC on the list is The Palm, which "has lured in every president from Richard Nixon to Bill Clinton, and continues to pack in scores of lobbyists, lawyers and politicians every day around 12:30 p.m." [Forbes via Eater National]

ROCKVILLE—Chef Nate Waugaman has launched a new prix-fixe menu at Addie's that's a pretty good deal for those who like to dine a little later on in the evening. Those who dine at the restaurant from 8 p.m. until close (Monday through Thursday only) have the option of their "After 8 for $28" menu, which includes an appetizer and an entrée for, you guessed it, $28. There will also be beer available for $3 and wines by the glass for $5 to pair with your dinner. [EaterWire]

PENN QUARTER—This month, Fiola is exploring two Italian regions by offering limited-time-only four-course menus that evoke each region in addition to the regular menu. Starting tonight through January 21, they explore Tuscany with dishes like slow-cooked beef short ribs and almond cookies from Siena. Then from January 23 through February 4, it will be the Piedmont with dishes like truffle and porcini lasagna. [EaterWire]

VAN NESS—Tipsters inform Prince of Petworth that Sushi Para has opened for business on Connecticut Avenue and has applied for a liquor license [PoP]

BALLSTON—In other opening news, ARLnow reports that a Ballston location of the Greene Turtle has opened. It's pretty much the same as the sports bar's dozens of other locations, except this one will be primarily a Redskins and Virginia Tech bar — especially considering that Virginia Tech is the landlord of the building.
