The Coupe, the latest concept from the folks behind Tryst, The Diner and Open City, debuted in Columbia Heights last week with a coffee bar, pre-bottled cocktails, a menu offering a twist on familiar foods — and limited hours for its soft opening. Well, The Coupe officially moves out of that soft opening phase at 5 p.m., when it reopens its doors and will keep them open 24 hours a day, seven days a week until the restaurant heaves its last breath. The restaurant's menus are now available online, revealing an all-day breakfast, sandwiches, daily specials and more — plus a condensed version that will be their late-night menu.
To celebrate the big day, a rep sends in word that the first 50 purchases made at The Coupe after midnight tonight will earn a voucher for a "free breakfast" (up to a $10 value) to its sister and fellow 24/7 restaurant The Diner.
