MOUNT PLEASANT—Erstwhile neighborhood favorite Radius is getting resurrected sometime next week — yes, under new leadership and with a new menu, as previously reported. The City Paper learns that former Watershed and Wilson Tavern chef Chris Kenworthy is in charge of the new menu, which "will stay true to Radius' original base pizza recipe," but will add a kid's menu, more pasta and appetizers, and maybe not the $5 slice-and-a-pint deal. THE YARDS—Do not forget that this weekend the Neighborhood Restaurant Group is unleashing its "beer jamboree" upon the unsuspecting people of Washington, DC. Yes, the Snallygaster beer festival is going down on Saturday at The Yards with more than 100 beers picked by beer director Greg Engert. Advance tickets are available online, or pay $5 at the door then $1 per tasting ticket. [EaterWire]
CAPITOL HILL—Speaking of drinking, Sonoma is hosting the opening party for DC Wine Week on Saturday evening from 8 p.m. until midnight. Sommelier Patricia Ely has got the wine list all prepared, while chef Michael Bonk is making a variety of appetizers. The party is invite-only, but there's a whole slate of DC Wine Week events coming up after the kickoff. [EaterWire]
