ZOMG CUPCAKES—The Washington Post investigates which DC area cupcake bakeries are getting on the Nationals bandwagon with specialty cupcakes. Georgetown Cupcake has one with a baseball and "Go Nats" pennant on it, while McLean's Fluffy Thoughts Cakes went all out with a cupcake of Jayson Werth's face. [WaPo]
ARBITRARY LISTICLES—Everyone has suddenly noticed that the Daily Meal dropped a list of 35 best pizzerias in America more than a month ago and they are really surprised because Jumbo Slice was named to spot #12 in this arbitrary listicle. The Washington Post argues that Jumbo Slice is not the 12th best pizzeria in America, but rather a "bland carb manna that only acts as a regret accelerant when combined with a belly full of Bud Light and SoCo-and-lime shots." And the City Paper compiles a list of 12 pizzerias in DC that are better than Jumbo Slice. [Daily Meal, WaPo, WCP]
