The owners of The Greek Spot are branching out of their comfort zone. Young & Hungry reports that Greg Kavadias, one of the owners of the U Street area falafel favorite, is planning to open a second restaurant in Columbia Heights.
Kavadias tells Jessica Sidman, "We're going a whole opposite direction. I'll tell you it is island-style food." So what does that adjective mean exactly? Apparently not Greek, and not Caribbean, but that's all they're saying. The exact address of the restaurant is also being kept under wraps though Kavadias says it's near Sherman Ave. NW and Harvard Ave. NW. Expect more answers before the restaurant opens next spring.
