Bethesda's Queen Bee Cafe & Grill, which opened around March, appears to have closed. A Don Rockwell reader reports Monday that the restaurant looks to have vacated, with paper covering the windows. Eater called the restaurant, and the phone number has been disconnected. The restaurant's last Tweet was back in June, and the owners did not immediately respond to an email request for additional information.
The space at 4925 Bethesda Ave. has seen some turnover lately. A place called Hot Barbecue & Pizza was open only briefly before being replaced with the Queen Bee. The Queen Bee served traditional Greek dishes like spanakopita and moussaka.
