New Murals at Sax; Restaurants Open for Delivery

DOWNTOWNSax: where politics and burlesque meet. The lounge is showcasing two new political caricatures, "The Race is On" and "Fight for the White House," on its walls in the spirit of election day. They were commissioned from artist Balage Balog, the same person responsible for the controversial opening murals at the restaurant, and will be up until Nov. 6. [EaterWire]

VIRGINIA— A new magazine, Foodshed, has launched, focusing on food and drink news in the area between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Chesapeake Bay. The magazine is from the people behind Flavor, and comes out bimonthly. The organization is also working as a nonprofit to help connect farmers and chefs. [EaterWire]
