The owner of the beloved Kushi Izakaya & Sushi has revealed his next project: a whiskey bar/art gallery. Darren Lee Norris tells the City Paper that Black Whiskey will open on 14th Street in early 2013 with an art gallery on the main floor and a bar on the second story. The menu will be "contemporary bar food" created using some molecular gastronomy techniques, while the whiskey list will have a focus on small-batch American. There will also be chef dinners every now and then. [WCP]
