Another week, another expansion announcement from Sweetgreen — or two. The City Paper reports that the salad-and-froyo chain has signed a lease at 14 and W streets for an outpost destined to open in early 2013. Unlike their other spots, this one will have a walk-up window selling Sweetgreen's newly launched Sweetpress juices. This location will be on the same block as Mike Isabella's forthcoming Kapnos and G.
Meanwhile, the New York Times has it that Sweetgreen is expanding to New York, where owner Nic Jammet's restaurateur parents owned La Caravelle. A rep tells Eater the Sweetgreen founders signed a lease adjacent to the NoMad Hotel and plan to open that one in spring 2013.
