Slated to hit Barracks Row in the springtime is Rose's Luxury, a brand new restaurant from chef Aaron Silverman, whose resume includes the likes of McCrady's in Charleston, plus New York's Aldea and Momofuku Noodle Bar. The City Paper reports that Silverman is creating a "modern menu" that will cost $46 per person and "will be broken down into five sections: cold, warm, pasta, other goods, and meat. Diners will choose one item from each of the first four sections and a meat for the table to share family-style. (Those seated at the bar can get dishes a la carte.)"
A dessert menu will be offered separately, while the second floor will have a space that can be reserved for $90 per person. There won't be a menu or a set number of courses for that space, as Silverman explains to the City Paper, "basically, we're just going to keep sending food until you say stop." Silverman also hopes to make his restaurant casual enough for jeans and a T-shirt with modern dishes like popcorn soup, pasta with strawberry sauce, pickle-brined fried chicken and more. Silverman has already begun testing his menu with a series of pop-up dinners around Washington.
