DC— Kushi Moto is the upcoming food truck from the Kushi team. It may hit the streets next week, and will eventually park in the back of the restaurateur's upcoming Black Whiskey place when it opens. Rice bowls are on the menu. [WCP]
ROCKVILLE— The Quench team is poised to launch a new pop-up program, where the restaurant will house pop-up dinners within its restaurant, beginning in December. First up is a Dec. 3 Laotian dinner from Chef Donn Souliyadeth. The dinners wil be held Sundays and Mondays. Korean and farm-to-table pop-ups will later appear. [EaterWire]
DOWNTOWN— On Saturday, the Occidental is hosting a "Whiskeys of the World" dinner, where attendees experience a five course dinner paired with whiskeys from Scotland, Ireland and North America. The event costs $79 per person. [EaterWire]
