1) Potomac: Don Rockwell readers spotted Washingtonian editor Todd Kliman's tweet reporting that Baltimore's famed Attman's Delicatessen is planning to expand to the Cabin John shopping center on Tuckerman Lane. An Attman's source confirmed to Eater that is the case, but the exact details are still being worked out. [PRE-PLYWOOD]
2) Bethesda: WaPo's Tom Sietsema writes that a new American restaurant from the chef and co-owner of Villa Mozart and the principals of Adams Morgan's Grand Central will open in Bethesda in late December. Brickside Food & Drink will be located at in the former Bubby's deli space, and Villa Mozart's Andrea Pace describes the look for the new restaurant as "Prohibition." The goal is to serve under-$25 mains in the evening and then bring in the drinking crowd as the night goes on. [PLYWOOD]
3) Takoma Park: Politics and Prose's Modern Times Coffeehouse is spreading its wings with a new sister store set to open in Takoma Park in the spring of 2013, according to Facebook posts announcing the name and location. The shop will be called La Mano Coffee Bar, located at 304 Carroll St. NW. In the meantime, the Modern Times/La Mano team will be hosting pop-ups around town till the store opens. Catch them next serving hot cocoa and housemade chai for the Silver Spring Stories Film Festival on Thursday at the Silver Spring Civic Building at Veterans Place. [PLYWOOD]
4) Clarendon: European restaurant chain La Tagliatella's outpost on 950 Clarendon Boulevard will open late this year or early next reports Clarendon Patch. Located in the space formerly occupied by Restaurant 3, the Clarendon La Tagliatella follows the opening of the first U.S. La Tagliatella flagship set for this fall in Atlanta. [PLYWOOD]
5) Bloomingdale: A building permit was issued for The Showtime Lounge, WBJ's Mike Neibauer writes. The tavern located on Rhode Island Avenue will be a coffee shop by day and serve alcohol and snacks in the evening. [PLYWOOD]
6) 14th Street: Borderstan chats with the owners of the upcoming BakeHouse about building their new space from the ground up and spills details that the bakery is planning on a January soft opening and a February ground opening. The 14-seat shop will stay open late so 14th Street diners can pop in for dessert after dinner. [PLYWOOD]
7) Rhode Island Row: Work is expected to start immediately on that new Chipotle at 2350 Washington Place NE, the Washington Business Journal reports. [PLYWOOD]
8) Shaw: Washington, D.C.'s seventh branch of FroZenYo is on its way on the Howard University campus, according to the Washington Business Journal. [PRE-PLYWOOD]
