ADAMS MORGAN— Now that Pleasant Pops has a brick and mortar location, the owners had to think about how they can operate year round (not everyone wants a frozen treat in December). Enter Hot Pops, which come in four flavors to help create flavored hot chocolates. In the store, they are paired with a mug of Trickling Springs Creamery milk for $3.50, or they can be taken home as well. They go on sale beginning this afternoon. [EaterWire]
14TH STREET— The opening for Bart Vandaele's B Too restaurant will no longer be 12-12-2012, WBJ reports. The chef's been too busy with construction delays and time spent on Top Chef-related activities. It will open sometime later in the winter. [WBJ]
WEST END— Bill Gates dined at Rasika West End last night. A rep sends word that the philanthropist dined with 10 guests in one of the restaurant's private rooms. [EaterWire]
K STREET— The Palm is celebrating its 40th anniversary downtown next Tuesday and to mark the occasion, they're holding a cocktail party to benefit Share Our Strength. The $200 party will include open bar, appetizers, a raw bar, lobster tempura skewers and more. [EaterWire]
